"Tír a dhéanta" imprinted on the reverse as Britain .. This phrase was commonly stamped on imported items, particularly clothes hangers and souvenirs, during the 1960s. It was part of a labeling practice where imports (often from Sweden or Japan) were marked with their country of origin in Irish to indicate they were not domestically produced.
