It could use a quick cleaning, but honestly, no amount of polishing is going to help with what it’s forced to look at every day.
Drag it home and prop it up in the corner.
Stand in front of it.
Take a deep breath.
“Mirror, mirror on the wall,” you ask, “who’s the fairest of them all?”
The mirror takes a long, uncomfortable pause.
