The Stantel (Standard Electric and Cables) 4033 is the English version of the Western Electric 639A.

The 4033s were widely used in recording studios for music and film and were used until the mid-1960s. On the earliest Beatles recordings, in Abbey Road, it was used to record the kick drum. It is a great microphone for brass. This one comes with an XLR adapter of about the same age. The microphone is in good condition as is the box. The lining has been replaced.
