Sennheiser MKH 415 T Vintage Shotgun Microphone + T-Power Converter

Vintage Sennheiser MKH 415 T professional shotgun microphone, supplied with its original retail box, documentation and inserts, plus a Switchcraft 48V phantom-to-T-power converter.

The MKH 415 T is a classic Sennheiser RF condenser shotgun microphone and an early predecessor to the now-standard MKH 416. It has the characteristic highly directional shotgun sound and excellent speech intelligibility that made this family of microphones a standard in film, television and location recording.

IMPORTANT – POWERING: This is the T-power/AB-powered MKH 415 T, not the later MKH 416 P48. Do not connect the microphone directly to 48 V phantom power. The included Switchcraft 48 V-to-T-power converter allows it to be safely used with modern equipment providing standard 48 V phantom power. The converter is therefore an important part of this package and makes this vintage microphone considerably more practical with modern recording equipment. The red electrical tape was a visual reminder for me. I normally plug the adapter in between XLRs so the mic fits in a blimp as normal.
