Authentic World War II U.S. Navy enlisted sailor’s dress cap with original dark blue wool construction and gold “U.S. NAVY” cap tally. This is the winter version of the classic sailor uniform worn by enlisted men of the United States Navy during WWII (1941–1945). The cap still retains its interior sweatband with the sailor’s period identification marking “D.F.S.”, showing genuine wartime use aboard ship or naval station. Blue enlisted caps from the WWII era are less commonly encountered than the white summer caps, making this a desirable piece for collectors of naval militaria.
