WW1 Women's Institutes (WI) for Home and Country Welsh Badge
Vintage item. A scarce original circa 1930's 'National Federation of the Women's Institutes badge', gilded brass oval, the fretted centre bearing a 'Welsh Red Dragon', flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with Welsh title 'FY NGWLAD A'M CARTREF' with English translation (For Home and Country) inlaid in green enamel; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham' (a style used between 1933 and 1939).
