X2 vintage and original 1935 KLG spark plug tins .
KLG spark plugs were invented and manufactured by Kenelm Lee Guinness, an Anglo-Irish racing driver and member of the famous Guinness brewing family. Frustrated by unreliable spark plugs, he developed them in 1912 using mica as an insulator at a disused inn in Putney, London.
The "KLG" name comes directly from his initials (Kenelm Lee Guinness).
