Vintage Fairground Fiberglass Carousel Deer: Leaping Ride Figure with Original Character c1960
Vintage Fairground Carousel Deer: Leaping Ride Figure with Original Character
A charming vintage fairground ride figure in the form of a leaping deer, full of mid-century storybook appeal. She has large blue eyes with painted lashes, tall alert ears, a bright red smile and a raised tail. The moulded red saddle and blue studded breast strap are complemented by airbrushed markings and yellow and white socks.
Honest, attractive wear from a working life, with chips, scuffs and paint loss throughout, particularly to the hooves, ears, tail and saddle. This adds to her patina and fairground character. Sold as found.
A striking display piece for a home, shop, café, studio or collection.
