The Medal of Victory and Freedom 1945
The Medal of Victory and Freedom 1945 is a Polish military decoration established on October 26, 1945, to commemorate the triumph over Nazism and the idea of democratic freedom. It was awarded to people who contributed to the victory until May 9, 1945.
Purpose: Commemorating the victory over Nazi barbarity and the triumph of the idea of democratic freedom.
Appearance: Bronze medal, 33 mm in diameter, with the state eagle and the inscription "KRAJOWA RADA NARODOWA" (National National Council).
Ribbon: 33 mm wide, three red and two white stripes.
Awarding: The medal was awarded to participants in the fighting and to individuals who contributed to the victory at home or abroad.
