Nice set of miniature medals ( 1916 Easter Rising and War of Independence With Comrac bar ) for sale, both being sold separately or as a pair.

1916 Easter Rising Miniature medal - Price €1000

1917-1921 War of Independence Service miniature Medal, with Comrac bar (Maker Quinn & Co Dublin) - Price €650

These miniature medals were not automatically issued to those entitled to the full size version. Instead those who wished to have the miniature medal had to purchase a privately made version by one of a number of jewellers in Ireland who were officially given permission by the government to produce these medals at the time.
