Crazy fact, Liverpool were required to cover the Umbro logo on their shirts due to a UEFA directive. This happened because Adidas, a major sponsor of the tournament, wanted to eliminate shirt advertising for the final. Real Madrid also had to cover their Adidas logo. Liverpool used tape to cover the Umbro logo on their shirts and shorts.
