The letters were written on official Mayor’s Court Office, Guildhall, London stationery and each carries the original embossed Mayor’s Court Office seal.
The two letters are dated:

• 1 July 1898

Both are handwritten in period ink and are personally signed by Frank S. S... [signature as shown on the original document].
