HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

GREAT BRITAIN - GEORGE VI (12/11/1936-2/6/1952)
George VI (12/14/1895-2/6/1952) was the youngest son of George V and Mary Treck. He is the brother of Edward VIII, who succeeded George V on January 20, 1936, but was forced to abdicate later that year because he chose to marry Mrs. Wallis Warfield Simpson, twice divorced, and also because he dislikes Germanophilia strongly to power circles in England. George VI has two daughters, Elizabeth and Margaret. During World War II, it was a symbol of British resistance against Nazism. After the war, he has to approve the independence of the Indian Empire in 1947, which was divided into India and Pakistan after a terrible civil war. He died of cancer in 1952.
