Reverse (Back): Displays a decorative cartouche surrounded by laurel and oak leaves. This area was left blank so that an inscription could be engraved, typically for an award, a commemorative event, or a gift.
Material: These medals were commonly struck in Silver (often with a "crab" or "boar's head" hallmark on the edge) or silver-plated bronze.
Period: Circa 1890–1910, during the height of the Art Nouveau movement.
