Up for sale is a 100% authentic, original 1911 municipal commemorative medallion marking the Royal Visit of King George V and Queen Mary to the Borough of Camberwell on May 12th, 1911.Historical Context: Issued under Whitworth St. Cedd, Mayor of Camberwell.Maker's Mark: Stamped by the renowned British maker "Fattorini, Skipton" at the base of the reverse shield.Design: Obverse features the crowned profile busts of the King and Queen with "Made in England". The reverse displays the Camberwell borough shield with the motto "All's Well".Suspension: Retains its original, ornate brass-tone crown pin-back suspension bar.A wonderful piece of London social history and Edwardian memorabilia.
