Selling this 1940s Lee Enfield 303 mass transport ammunition box. These were very common during the 40s. The local defence forces would be armed with Lee Enfield rifles and Britain shipped a few million rounds to Ireland during the emergency.
I'm advised by an expert that the box contained drill (practice) rounds.
It was no10 in the shipment and it contanef 58 individual boxes of ammo.
(these are the numbers visible on the box today)
