Rare complete named LMS National Emergency Medal group awarded to George Saunders of Dublin following the 1926 General Strike. Includes original medal, signed 1927 presentation letter and original addressed postal box.
Rare 1926 LMS (London Midland and Scottish Railway) National Emergency Medal complete with its original presentation letter and addressed postal box.
Awarded to my great grandfather, whose name appears on both the official letter and original mailing box.
The medal was issued by the LMS Railway to commemorate the service of staff and volunteers who helped keep the railway operating during the UK General Strike and National Emergency of May 1926.
