Octave Mandolin
Thomann 1087A Octave Mandolin.
Two years old. I got ths properly set up by a luthier when I bought it because it was difficult to play.
Truss rod was adjusted, and bridge sanded down and repositioned. The action at 12th fret is now 1.8mm and plays lovely with very little pressure on the fingers.
It sounds and plays well in GDAE, GDAD or ADAD.
The tone is bright and zingy rather than the more duller tone of a typical Octave Mandolin.
I'm only selling this because I've upgraded to a Bouzouki and it's not getting much use now.
New padded gig bag included in the price.
