Levin Mandolin
Beautiful 1935 Herman Carlson Levin 8-String Mandolin in good condition. This one has Flat Back & Sides, a teardrop shape, round soundhole, spruce top, walnut fingerboard & birch back & sides. It was originally sold from Musikhuset in Hälsingborg, Sweden.
Has a few scrapes and scratches (it is 91 years old!
The wood is Swedish perfectly thin grained spruce which makes these instruments so sought after. The tone is not quiet or restrained, she’s loud! This is a perfect instrument for Irish traditional music and a perfect addition to your local sessions.
