While Peter is on the subway, the train is attacked, as Carmine Karnelli wants to eliminate the entire jury that has to judge one of his subordinates. While Spidey trying to guide the passengers to the exit, he is attacked by Shocker who must ensure the death of the jurors. The clash causes an explosion that breaks the ceiling leading to flooding. One of the passengers, believing that their death is sealed, apologizes to Spider-Man for the treatment he always reserved for his son. In fact he is John Jonah Jameson Sr.
