@abdo326 sorry but I can only sell to folk with positive feedback. Too many bad experiences otherwise. Apologies.

Would it help if I vouch for Starfoxhunt? I am the colleague he was talking about. Honestly, he is one of the most honest person you can meet.

@Matt983 apologies - I’m in Portmarnock, quite far North.

Any chance you can meet near South Dublin?

@starfoxhound I’m going to politely decline. I can’t respond to any more asks from you I’m afraid. I dont mean to be rude, just that I can’t sell to you unfortunately. Apologies.

well, if you could accept it so we can DM that would be great, I can come to your place to collect at a time that works for you.

If I do not show up you have nothing to lose, but that is not going to happen, as I will be there

@starfoxhound this is exactly what the guy who ghosted me said - he actually honestly said LinkedIn 😬

We even communicated via WhatsApp, still ghosted me. Made all the promises etc.

I really have to decline your offer mate, the reason for positive comments is to add a level of trust to the transaction - look at my profile, zero negative and loads of positive. Means I don’t scam folk.

Super sorry. If your friend has positive feedback then maybe he can do the purchase?

There are other Macs available with the same spec too for a few hundred more on Adverts - brand new and boxed. Might be a better bet for you this time.

Thanks for the offer though.

I am a legit buyer that has never used adverts before, recently introduced to it by a colleague because my personal laptop and PC broke at the same time.

If you accept I can share my LinkedIn to you i guess?

@starfoxhound hey apologies - I can only sell to users with at least one positive feedback point I’m afraid.

I got ghosted by another buyer on Friday after arranging to meet, he also had zero feedback but convinced me he was legit. Once bitten and all that. Sorry man, it’s the only way I know a buyer is reliable.

I promised myself not to break that rule again after sitting around waiting for someone for an hour on Friday.

@Spuntr the best way (and only way actually) to check that it’s not a corporate device, that it doesn’t belong to a company, is to actually erase the Mac and ‘reactivate’ it from scratch.

Only then will you see if the serial is connected to a company, when the Mac connects to Apple for activation.

That’s the first thing I did when I bought it from CEX. I have a picture of the receipt - I’ll add it to the Advert ✅

Does it have any proof of purchase? Just to ensure its not an enterprise device?
