Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen5 AMD (Ryzen 7 PRO 8840HS / 32GB socketed / 1TB)
Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen5 AMD
Model 21ME-X001US
(Like a T14 Gen 5 AMD, but with a faster CPU)
Ryzen 7 PRO 8840HS, 5.1 GHz 8c16t CPU + 780M iGPU (gfx1103)
32GB DDR5 RAM (2x SoDIMM sockets - RAM upgradeable!)
1TB PCIe v4 SSD (1x NVMe socket - SSD upgradeable!)
1920 x 1200 WUXGA IPS LCD
Backlit ANSI keyboard
65W USB-C PD charger with UK/I plug
Legit Windows 11 Pro licence
NOTE: US-ANSI (AMERICAN) KEYBOARD (modular and replaceable with whatever you prefer)
This spec is currently going for €1633.49 on eBay!
Yours for only €850 (or make me a reasonable offer)
Condition: Desk queen. And I take care of my stuff!
Battery
41 cycles as of this writing
The system was only ever powered when in use, not left to cook on the charger, so the battery has seen little work.
Screen
No clouding, no pressure stains, no dead pixels, no insane stagelighting. I noticed one microscopic keyboard mark only visible in direct sunlight when taking photos for this ad. It's a nice IPS LCD, and I'm very picky.
Chassis
Lid: no scratches
Palmrest and keyboard: clean, not worn or shiny
Touchpad: slight shininess in the middle
USB-C charge ports: both working as expected
Sides: no scratches
Bottom shell: no scratches
I added 4 small pieces of reusable adhesive band inside the lower case to stop the bottom shell from tapping against the chassis. Better than new :)
Sold as used, but functionally and cosmetically excellent, and guaranteed against DOA. Was used for ~8 months, determined to be unsuited to my workflow, and then left to sit on a shelf for a several more months until I accepted that I really need CUDA, not ROCm, no matter how much system RAM I throw at the problem.
Payment terms: cash, Revolut, or bank transfer
Private sale, final sale. No swaps: I have enough stuff already.
I would prefer in-person collection (and I can deliver or meet you somewhere within an hour of Newmarket, Co. Cork), or else shipped via UPS or FedEx with tracking and signature, at buyer's exclusive risk.
Incidentally, I ran this system with a different SSD and 96GB RAM under Linux, but have restored the system to its shipped state for sale. That 96GB RAM is also for sale on Adverts, if you want it.
If you intend to run Linux, be sure to add `amdgpu.dcdebugmask=0x10 acpi.ec_no_wakeup=1` to your kernel commandline for the GPU and sleep quirks.
