The EliteBook x360 1030 G3 carries optional Sure View, fingerprint reader, BIOSphere, Sure Start, SpareKey, Client Security Manager, Sure Click, and many more to reduce online phishing or visual hacking while protecting the BIOS.

The system has passed MIL-STD tests for toughness, and there's no flex when you grasp its screen corners or mash its keys. In fact, when you fold it into tablet mode, magnets snap the screen into place to give you a firm surface for writing or sketching

HP separately sell a stylus pen which identifies itself as a Bluetooth device called "HP Active Pen G2". It can be recharged via USB-C (connector under an elastic plastic cover). It doesn't support tilt and you cannot turn it around to work as an eraser (like the Surface pen), but other than that it works really well.
The stylus has three customizable buttons and charges via USB Type-C. It also comes with three replaceable tips.

Windows Hello users can avoid typing passwords via either a fingerprint reader or HP's face-recognition webcam. The latter captures exceptionally clear and well-lit images.
