Michigan Synth Works MSW-810S, rare
Michigan Synth Works MSW-810S – Rare Discontinued Analog Monosynth with TB-303 Sequencer – White
For sale is my Michigan Synth Works MSW-810S, the much less common, discontinued version featuring the integrated TB-303 sequencer.
Please don’t confuse this with the standard MSW-810 or MSW-810M. This is the original sequencer-equipped MSW-810S, combining the sound architecture of the Roland CMU-810 / MC-202 with an integrated TB-303-style sequencer.
The analogue synthesis engine features an AS3340-based oscillator, sawtooth and pulse waveforms, sub-oscillator, noise generator and a resonant AS3109-based low-pass filter. It’s capable of everything from deep, punchy basslines to expressive acid sequences and classic Roland-style analogue tones.
What makes this version particularly special is the sequencer. It uses a Pixie processor implementation of the original TB-303 sequencer code, providing the characteristic 303 programming workflow, including accent and slide.
The instrument also offers MIDI note and clock synchronisation, analogue CV/Gate connections, separate clock and run synchronisation, and an integrated audio mixer with external inputs and a voltage-controlled amplifier.
This particular sequencer-equipped version was discontinued and is considerably harder to find than the standard models.
Cosmetically in good used condition, with some minor marks and signs of use, as shown in the photographs.
An interesting and unusual instrument for anyone who appreciates the Roland MC-202, SH-101 and TB-303 sound and workflow.
A genuinely special piece of analogue synthesizer equipment, and one that doesn’t appear on the second-hand market very often.
