Warehouse Systems & Inventory Control Manager

The Role

Our client, a highly established and recognised organisation in Wexford town, now seek to recruit a Warehouse Systems & Inventory Control Manager to join its operations team at its state-of-the-art factory in Wexford town. The person who is appointed to this new role for the business, will lead the integration of a new finance software in the stores and warehouse, be responsible for inventory control and establishing best practice in supply chain management within the Company.

Main Duties

Systems

Lead the implementation our new Microsoft Business Central software in our stores and warehouse.
Ongoing data management of all materials master files to ensure all aspects of the new Microsoft Business Central software are kept updated and accurate.
Develop new weekly and monthly reports for inventory management to drive supply chain optimisation.

Inventory

Lead monthly wall to wall stock take.
Perform cycle counts, audit stock variances, and resolve missing or damaged items.
Over-see such warehouse activities as space management, stock storage, stock rotation & min/max levels.
Meet regularly as part of the Stores/Warehouse team to analyse departmental inventory performance and develop corrective action plans as necessary.

Supply Chain

Responsible for the ordering of all materials/stock from key suppliers – preventing the occurrence of shortages
Lead with the evaluation & vetting of suppliers in terms of “QSP” – Quality, Service, Price (ensuring the company is attaining best value for money)
Assist in the development of a new footprint for the Stores/Warehouse Dept – both internally and externally and with the integration of two internal stores into one operation.
Assisting on the day-to-day operations and implementing both short and long-term improvements and change as necessary.
Reporting back directly to the Stores/Warehouse Manager and to Senior Management as required

Education and Experience

Third level Degree qualification in Procurement / Supply Chain / Logistics Management / ASCM/APICS/ IPICS, IIPMM, CIPS, CPSM
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role and company size.
A knowledgeable of the finance software Microsoft Business Central will be an advantage.

Skills Required

Have previous experience in implementing new software systems in warehouses.
Proficient in IT including Microsoft Office products.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and leadership qualities.
Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and oral.
