Supply Chain Analyst - Waterford

Our client, a global leading manufacturer based in Waterford, is currently seeking to recruit for the position of a Supply Chain Analyst, in a growing supply chain team. This role would be suited to someone who is ready to take ownership of projects. The successful applicant will deliver process improvement projects and analysis that support purchasing, planning and inventory decisions, and become the team's subject matter expert on MRP as it applies to procurement. The role will report to the Supply Chain Manager and take day-to-day direction from the Supply Chain Lead, working closely with the buying team and drawing on their supplier knowledge.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert on MRP for procurement: how the system generates purchase requirements, the planning parameters that drive them (lead times, MOQs, order multiples, safety stock) and the accuracy of that data

• Administer the supplier management process day to day: Attend supplier review meetings, track actions and follow up with suppliers and internal owners through to close-out

• Maintain supplier management records, forms and corrective action logs, keeping them accurate and audit-ready

• Coordinate the ongoing rollout of the supplier management process, including documentation, process maps and training material

• Deliver supply chain projects end to end, from scoping through to implementation and handover

• Build and maintain process documentation (procedures, process maps, work instructions)

• Validate supplier lead time and MOQ data, flagging anomalies and risks rather than simply updating the system

• Produce concise, accurate supply chain reports for the weekly review and for management

• Work with Finance, Engineering, Production and Quality on cross-functional actions

• Be trained to provide purchasing cover during absences

• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures as per company policy

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related discipline

•3+ years' experience in supply chain, procurement, planning or operations

• Strong Excel skills and hands-on experience of an ERP/MRP system, with a working understanding of MRP logic (Epicor an advantage)

• Clear, concise written communication, with reports that get to the point

• Highly organised, with the persistence to chase actions to close-out

• A track record of taking self-directed work through to completion

• High attention to detail, with the judgement to spot what doesn't look right

• Comfortable dealing with suppliers and colleagues at all levels

• Full clean driving license.
