Mission/Purpose of the Job

As a Service Technician you are our brand ambassador and our face towards our customers within the Ireland region. Your main responsibility will be to provide best-in-class service and support to our customers and represent the pioneering brand. You will carry out in-house repairs and maintenance of electronic equipment: Helium leak detectors, vacuum gauges and controllers. You will perform calibration and service of vacuum gauges and controllers, gain expertise in Helium leak detection and in all aspects of modern electronic controllers for vacuum pumps. You will also take project lead in our electronic engineering projects.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting into the Service Manager for Ireland, you will be empowered to make a difference whilst also given the support and opportunity to develop your skills.

Responsibilities include;

· Delivering the best service at customer locations - including all service activities from repairs through to leak testing as well as preventative maintenance
· Proactively build-up customer relationships and identifying business opportunities whilst being on site so we remain “First in mind - First in choice”
· Providing technical support in the form of troubleshooting either by phone, email or on site – keeping the customer informed at all times
· Sharing lessons learnt to enhance personal knowledge, promote knowledge-sharing and to foster teamwork and collaboration amongst colleagues
· Work according to the company's safety guidelines 100% safety 100% of the time

Skills / Knowledge / Experience
What we expect from you:


Third Level qualification in electronic engineering
Understanding of PLC programming and wiring of electronic circuits
Experience of CAD software (SolidWorks)
Some professional experience as an electronic engineer.
Willing to travel to customer sites and to our onsite workshop in Wexford
Able to build strong relationships with customers
Comfortable in F2F interactions with the customers and service minded
Able to work autonomously with a solution focused mindset
Shows initiative, agility and integrity - open and approachable
Customer orientated and reliable
A full clean drivers licence

Nice to haves:

Some professional experience as service technician ideally in vacuum technology desirable
Technical expertise, combining mechanical and electrical components
Technical and application knowledge, ability to constantly learn and develop
Excellent communication skills to work at all levels within an organization
