Sales Executive (Advertising) Wexford
As a Sales Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing an existing client portfolio. This is a consultative sales role where you will create effective advertising campaigns using a combination of:
Radio Advertising
Programme Sponsorship
Promotions & Competitions
Outside Broadcasts
Special Features
Website Advertising
Social Media Campaigns
Digital Marketing Solutions
The successful candidate will work closely with clients to develop cross-platform advertising packages that deliver measurable results.
Occasional attendance at evening or weekend Outside Broadcasts and station events will be required. These will be agreed in advance and compensated in accordance with company policy.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve agreed weekly and monthly sales targets.
Sell integrated advertising solutions including radio, website, social media and digital marketing campaigns.
Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking and cold calling.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
Identify dormant accounts and create strategies to re-engage them.
Prepare tailored advertising proposals and presentations.
Sell sponsorships, promotions, competitions, outside broadcasts and special commercial features.
Create cross-platform marketing packages that combine on-air and digital advertising opportunities.
Prepare advertising scripts and work closely with the production team to ensure campaigns are delivered to a high standard.
Attend weekly one-to-one meetings with the Sales Manager and contribute ideas for new commercial opportunities.
Maintain accurate customer records using the company CRM/database.
Prepare and submit a weekly sales report each Friday.
Monitor local business activity, newspapers, social media, LinkedIn and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities.
Ensure all advertising complies with Coimisiún na Meán advertising regulations and company advertising policies.
Complete all new account documentation accurately and obtain payment in accordance with company credit policy.
Represent our company professionally at networking events, outside broadcasts and community events.
Participate in sales training and continuous professional development.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in media sales, advertising sales or B2B sales (preferred but not essential).
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
A confident and professional manner.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
The ability to build lasting client relationships.
A proactive approach to generating new business.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Experience using CRM systems would be an advantage.
A full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
