Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Utilisation of best design practices and efficient design concepts that ensure product compliance, regulation compliance and the market value driven products in integrated flow solutions

Quality of output in terms of design, production execution, quality outputs, etc. in the design and build of flow systems for the company’s customers

Adherence to customer requirements and specifications in the creation of module designs from the company

Applying the correct file structures, design build and sound engineering practice when creating product designs and component assemblies

Good engineering practice for revision control, file structures, product validation protocol (PVP), risk assessment in product design, technical evaluation, compliance to ISO9001:2015 standards, etc.

Ensuring engineering CAD structures (Solidworks) and processes are managed and streamlined to provide the company with repeatable drawing outputs, efficient engineering information releases (internal and external), ensuring correct and accurate revision control for components, assemblies and modules per company requirements

Contribute to develop knowledge in the areas of flow dynamics (CFD), market technologies, market standards and regulations

Contribute to develop new product developments defined by the company and ensure all design, testing and product validation meets the company’s guidelines and standards

Utilising solid design practices such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA), design optimisation, Drop Test Analysis, Thermal

Structural Analysis, Plastic and Rubber Part Analysis, Linear Stress Analysis, Vibration Analysis, Structural Analysis, Frequency Analysis, etc. to support efficient, effective and high performance product designs for the company

Lead Problem Solving, Failure & Root Cause Analysis, Risk Assessment & FMEAs, activities within the engineering and management teams

Coordinate with the company’s production, supply chain, QA and sales groups to ensure that the company is developing leading edge flow products

Understand Fujikin Carp Group(FCG) product ranges and technical outputs in terms of all FCG flow solutions from the company

Develop commercial awareness on materials and component value in relation to the design outputs and inputs for Gas Panels/VMBs designed by the company

Provide regular reporting and communications on status for the introduction of new products to the programme milestones

Understand industry design specifications ( EN-ISO 13849-1, EN-62061, Semi F81, S2, etc.) and technical criteria to develop product designs based on customer and market specifications

Execution of strong project management techniques in delivering the programme within budget and to defined timelines

Develop effective procedures and systems for design, approval and release of drawings in a systematic and controlled process

Reviewing instrumentation required to provide “smarter” innovative products

Liaise with group-company engineering on product design criteria as directed by the company

Ensure Regulatory compliance in area of responsibility to GMP’s of all regulatory agencies (e.g. PED, TUV, ASTM, Semaspec, SIL, ATEX, CE, etc.) in current products and new product design

Approval of change requests for product, process and quality system changes

Compilation of required Regulatory documentation (e. files, Design Dossiers, Product transfer files, Essential requirements)

Follow existing CCL NPI (New Product Introduction) processes, or develop more robust systems, to ensure the effective validation of products/processes and the standardisation of product manufacture;

The implementation of daily planning outputs, and the reaction to these trends (response time, drawing errors) is a critical function of this role

Construct, plan for, meet, and exceed section metrics within the engineering department

Role Requirements

Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in design of stainless-steel process systems within the advanced manufacturing environments is desirable.
Efficient personal skills and strong communication skills.
Experience using Solidworks, CAD & Computational Flow Dynamics (CFD), FEA packages is considered an advantage.
Good working knowledge of MS Office.
Ability to work across multi functions and communicate across functions.
Proven problem-solving skills and methodologies.
High self-motivation and a self-starter to drive the new product development programme.
A full clean driver’s licence.
