Rare antique silver Norwegian Solje brooch
Rare Antique silver solje brooch by Marius Hammer of Norway, featuring brilliant filigree work.
Solje brooches were was made to be worn at ceremonial Norwegian gatherings including weddings as part of their traditional costume.
This brooch is 1.1/4 inches (3.1 cm) x 2 inches(5.1 cm). Weighs 6.8 grams.
The brooch is marked 835S for silver fineness.
In great condition and ready to gift or wear yourself.
There is some tarnish to the silver which should remove easily if wanted, however some folks like the more aged look and so I will leave it up to yourself.
