Vintage Bonwit Teller stole

Vintage luxury brand Bonwit Teller shawl/stole/cape. Black curly faux astrakhan with velvet trims. Not real fur. Fully re-lined with black satin. Back length 18"/46cm. Back shoulder width 18"/46cm. No size tag on garment. Probably a UK Size 18 - 20. In excellent vintage condition. See photos. Garment imported from US in 2023 but never worn. Item including postage and VAT cost €110. Sell €65 fixed.

Bonwit Teller & Co. was an American luxury department store in New York City founded by Paul Bonwit in 1895.
The Bonwit Teller's flagship uptown building at Fifth Avenue and 56th Street had a dinstinctive entrance with limestone relief panels (see last photo). The store developed into a chain of luxury department stores which specialized in high-end women's apparel. The firm closed in 2000.
