@Yelmockram: Unfortunately older ones can fade even the big screens. I need to check if the screen can be ordered separate. I always fit 2008-2009 clocks, it's the 4th generation of these GTI ones and them don't have this issue

@Yelmockram: Hi, if it's the half height screen, I don't think it's worth to fix. That's why I only sell highline clocks with the big screen. These are not common to fade as the small screens

Are you able to repair the lcd screen on a mk5 Gti (05) It’s ok on start up but starts to fade after a while.

@thomas.oflaherty.92: I see that you are shopping around. Can you get the immobiliser coded? You can't just swap your old clocks with a replacement one as your car will not start. Keys, immobiliser data and milage have to be transferred.

@nhojegan: I can do it on mk4 and mk6 Golf clocks. Unfortunately it's not possible on mk5 clocks.
