Please see the photos for all the servicing details. I go further than simply making these old players “work”. “It works” is not my standard — my aim is for it to work perfectly.

This player has been carefully serviced and checked:
1. Motor serviced and lubricated, with a metal flywheel for smooth and stable tape transport.
2. Playback head fully serviced and cleaned, with clear stereo playback and excellent audio performance.
3. Speed calibrated using a 3kHz test tape to ensure the correct standard tape speed. This is extremely important. With an old cassette player, even a small speed error can make music sound noticeably wrong — especially with vocals and instruments.
4. Powered by 2 × AA batteries, which are readily available almost anywhere.

So, where can you find a vintage cassette player that you can buy with complete confidence?

With a player this old, simply getting it to “work” is not enough. Without proper servicing and careful attention to the mechanism, you are unlikely to get the listening experience these machines are capable of.
That is exactly what I can offer you.

The price is for the player only. Batteries and cassette tapes are not included.
