The Rotel RCD-865 (and its popular variant, the RCD-865BX) is a classic hi-fi CD player from the early 1990s. It gained a reputation for being one of the first affordable players to use Bitstream technology, which at the time offered a smoother, more "analogue" sound compared to earlier digital-to-analogue conversion (DAC) methods.
