...description to follow, for now just the photos and if you have any questions go for it... in brief yes it's as good as it looks and better, works perfectly and sounds like heaven, total gem of a thing (only selling as I need to fund a recently purchased and rather expensive Nottingham Analogue Ace Spacedeck with an Audiomods arm...)

In terms of sound quality, build quality and sheer design beauty a MASSIVE step up from any and all lower-numbered Rega turntable models...and with touch button 33/45 speed selection and stablised / cleaner / quieter power on the dedicated TTPSU external power supply unit... Planar 8 is totally where it's at...
Upgraded smoked lid, lovely condition with bolt-in new hinges installed only a few weeks back. New Rega Carbon MM cartridge / needle fitted.
These rarely get sold on so you might wanna jump on it sharpish unless you wanna spank €2700 on the updated RP8 (that doesn't even have the option of a hinged lid any more ):
