Rega Planar 8 with Ortofon 2M Black

Beautiful example of the Rega Planar 8, fitted with an Ortofon 2M Black MM cartridge.

The Planar 8 is one of Rega's higher-end designs and takes much of its engineering philosophy from the flagship Naiad. It features Rega's ultra-lightweight skeletal plinth, triple-layer glass platter, RB880 precision tonearm and dedicated Neo PSU with electronic 33/45 speed selection and fine speed adjustment.

The fitted Ortofon 2M Black is the top model in Ortofon's highly regarded 2M range and uses a Nude Shibata stylus profile. It's a superb cartridge, particularly known for its detail retrieval, transparency and excellent tracking.

This is one of a number of turntables I own, so it has seen relatively little use. The 2M Black in particular has less than 100 hours on it.

The entire deck is immaculate with no marks or scratches and has been extremely well cared for.
