Pro-Ject Special Edition Primary Phono USB Audiophile Turntable Pro-Ject Special Edition Primary Phono USB Audiophile Turntable Home Audio

Selling my Pro-Ject Primary Phono USB as it's not getting much use. This is the higher-spec version of the Primary E, featuring both a built-in Phono Preamp and a USB output for digitizing your vinyl.

Key Features:

Integrated Phono Stage: Connect directly to any speaker (Sonos, Marshall, soundbars) without needing a separate amplifier.

USB Output: Easily record your vinyl collection to your PC or Mac.

Ortofon OM5e Cartridge: High-quality needle fitted as standard, tracking perfectly with very low hours.

Anti-Vibration Design: Handmade in Europe with vibration-absorbing feet and a gold-plated RCA cable.

Condition: Excellent/Mint. Well-looked after in a smoke-free home. The dust cover is included and in great shape.

This is a purist's deck. Pro-Ject is famous for its minimalist signal path. It uses a low-vibration synchronous motor and a silicone belt to ensure the motor is physically isolated from the record, giving you that signature clean, 'audiophile' sound that Pro-Ject is known for worldwide.

Includes original Pro-Ject 1.5mm Allen key for tonearm calibration, manual and original box it was shipped in.

Hi @Dubhagain: - I do have the original packaging/box so it could be transported safely but its a bit of pain to organise and get a quote from the post office - I am prepared to do it though. How serious are you about purchasing?

Will you post this?

Hi @Orla L
The width is 42cm , length 32cm and height is 11cm. I reckon you need an additional 3cm at the back to allow room for the standard RCA adapters. To reduce this further purchasing L-shaped RCA adapters would drop this to around 1 cm.
Hope this helps!

Hello, Would you mind letting me know the dimensions -width and depth please? Also, is there any clearance required for connections at the back. I am just checking to ensure I have sufficient depth available on the shelf. (I am seeing approximations of width 420 mm and depth 330 mm online) Thanks

Hi @Buddypug: ".In terms of sound, because it’s a Pro-Ject, it has a very clean, balanced, and 'open' sound. It uses an Ortofon OM5e cartridge, which is famous for being quite neutral and detailed—IMO it doesn't 'color' the music too much, so you hear the record exactly as it was pressed. The bass is tight and punchy rather than boomy, and the high-end is crisp. You are welcome to come an test it. You’re more than welcome to come by and hear it in person. I have it set up through a Marantz PM6005 and Adam Audio Monitors, so you’ll be able to hear the full detail and quality.

Hi @kaerobe - This is the Phono USB model with the built-in preamp and digital out. The basic model doesn't have these, and they cost €330+ new. I'm looking for a fair price for the extra features.
