Pioneer Passive Subwoofer - needs work.

I was going to repair it and sell afterwards, but have other home DIY projects to entertain myself.
The best way to describe what you're looking at is as follows:
The previous owner got an original speaker damaged. Decided to upgrade to a larger one. The way he cut the new opening for larger speakers did not leave enough support underneath flange for speakers retaining screws.
Finally, the way he blanked out the original speaker cut-out has a lot to desire.
Not a lot of work for someone, who knows what is doing.
