Ortofon Blue stylus and cartridge with extra Red stylus

The Red stylus and cartridge came with my Technics turntable which I bought in October but I upgraded to an Audio Technica cartridge pretty soon after purchase so the Red was only used for a couple of weeks. Then out of curiosity back in January I wanted to try the Blue so I bought just the stylus (cost €139 from Hifi Hut) which shares the same cartridge as the Red. The Blue definitely sounds better than the Red did but after lots of swapping over and back between the Ortofon and Audio Technica (I've a headshell for each so it's easy to swap!) I've decided I prefer the sound of the Audio Technica, the Ortofon Blue is just a bit bright for my system and I prefer a warmer sound.

I haven't kept a log but I'd estimate 30 - 50 hours on the Blue and less than 30 on the Red. Just cartridge and the two stylii included in sale, I'm keeping the Technics headshell... want to try a Nagaoka cart next! :)
