Selling my own much-loved Phono Preamp, bought in UK several years ago. Magical bit of kit.

The Cyrus Phono Signature is widely regarded as one of the most advanced phono stages available, designed specifically to extract every ounce of detail from high-end vinyl setups.

At its core is a high-performance, ultra-low-noise circuit that supports up to four turntables simultaneously.

This multi-input flexibility is a rarity and for this reason, it is the go-to choice for many turntable enthusiasts who use multiple tonearms or who own numerous turntables with different cartridge types.

One of the standout features of this unit is the ease of cartridge setting and adjustability. You can fine-tune gain, resistance, and capacitance settings for each input from the front of the unit, or via remote control.

This allows you to hear the immediate impact of technical changes on the music, ensuring a perfect match for any Moving Magnet (MM) or Moving Coil (MC) cartridge without having to fiddle with tiny DIP switches on the back of the machine.

The internal architecture is a masterclass in precision engineering, utilizing a high-capacity toroidal transformer and a sophisticated sub-regulation system.

A dedicated passive RIAA equalization stage ensures that the frequency response remains incredibly accurate across the entire spectrum. This circuit uses high-tolerance components to maintain the integrity of the original recording, avoiding the phase shifts often found in lesser active designs. The result is a sound that feels organic and balanced, with a transparent top end and a firm, rhythmic bass foundation.

The unit gas a clear, front-panel display that shows the exact settings for the active input. You can adjust the display font size. This interface also includes a highly accurate stereo output meter, which is invaluable when setting the initial gain levels to prevent clipping and ensure the best possible signal-to-noise ratio.

The Phono Signature is housed in the iconic Cyrus die-cast aluminum chassis, which serves as both a heat sink and a shield against radio frequency interference.

I also have a PSX-R power unit - available elsewhere on Adverts for €250 - which is an optional direct plug-in upgrade for this unit. It is also in matching rough Matt black paintwork.

Adding PSX-R to the Phono Signature provides a significant boost in performance by delivering a highly regulated, super-clean DC feed to the sensitive internal circuitry.

By offloading the power requirements to this external unit, the phono stage's internal transformer is freed up to focus entirely on the delicate signal amplification, effectively isolating it from mains-borne noise. This results in a much lower noise floor, which allows the finest musical details and subtle micro-dynamics to emerge from a "blacker" background.

This delivers a more stable soundstage and an increase in low-end authority that brings a more realistic sense of scale to every record.
