Genelec, a brand that is often found in professional studios, has designed a line of products specifically for home and hobby use. The attractive M series falls into this category, and the MO30 is the entry-level model. Features of the M030 monitor
The M030 certainly wasn't just thrown together. Genelec clearly took a lot of time to develop the design, and it shows. The housing was designed in such a way as to produce minimal resonance, and thanks to the use of a special die-cast housing (with fibers and wood), the housing has been optimized for maximum performance. A class D bi-amplifier provides the power, and even features a stand-by mode for saving energy when the monitor isn't in use. The stand-by mode is extra special because it springs the monitor back to life as soon as a signal is detected!
The technology
The M030 monitor is equipped with a 5-inch woofer, which is accompanied by a 3/4-inch tweeter for the high frequencies. Thanks to the special bass reflex port, you can rest assured that the low frequencies will remain strong and neutral. A class D bi-amplifier is responsible for providing the power, and offers 30 watts to the highs and 50 watts to the lows. Finally, you can enjoy a maximum sensitivity of 103 dB and a frequency range of 58 to 20,000 Hz, making it an ideal choice for the most diverse music production applications.
