It uses two 2.5 inch speakers paired with Bose's proprietary waveguide technology, which is basically a folded acoustic tube that lets a small speaker punch out surprisingly deep, room filling bass for its size.

It's got a digital AM and FM tuner with six presets for each band, an auxiliary input round the back so you can plug in another device, and dual alarms with the snooze function.

It uses 2 x two and a half inch drivers, and only the left speaker is paired with that folded waveguide tube, thirty seven inches long, coiled inside the cabinet to boost the bass. The right speaker handles mid and high frequencies without the waveguide. So the output is asymmetric by design rather than a simple stereo pair.
