Still very capable streamer with external linear power supply.
In right system it sounds very good.
I am using it to stream qobuz.

The Auralic Aries Femto (often just called "Aries") and the Aries LE are nearly identical in internal board design but differ in clocking and power supply. The Femto model includes dual FemtoClocks for superior jitter reduction (via USB/digital outputs) and an upgraded linear power supply (LPSU), resulting in a noticeably better, more detailed sound compared to the LE. 


Auralic Aries Femto vs. LE Breakdown:


Clocks: The Femto model utilizes two FemtoClocks to serve both USB and digital outputs, reducing noise and jitter. The LE uses a lower-cost, standard crystal oscillator.


Power Supply: The Femto comes standard with a low-noise, high-quality external linear power supply. The LE originally shipped with a standard wall-wart supply, though it can be upgraded to the linear supply separately.


Performance: The Femto provides a superior, more refined sound with better soundstaging and detail due to the enhanced clocking and power.


Design: Both use the same plastic chassis, which was chosen to improve Wi-Fi signal reception.


Shared Features: Both run the same powerful Tesla G1 hardware platform, support the same streaming services (Tidal, Qobuz, etc.), and use the Lightning DS app. 


The Femto's higher price tag is justified by the lower noise floor and reduced jitter, which are particularly evident in higher-resolution setups, while the LE offers a lower entry point with similar user functionality.
