Selling 4 (2 Pairs) of DIYSG Volt 8 Speakers. DIYSG is a Website/Community aimed at delivering DIY speaker kits using higher end drivers than you find in branded speakers to deliver huge performance. you'll get loads of info if you google, these compete with high end speakers at several times the cost

These are in huge demand but been out of stock for a long time on DIYSG pretty much since covid began.

i brought the kits back with me on a trip to the US (just before covid actually and built up the speakers. they are finished in Tufcab which is a tough speaker covering, but they could be sanded back and refinished or even veneered if you wanted.

i've built them ported.

used as surround speakers in my cinema room, i upgraded all my speakers (11!) last year and these have been sitting unused.

asking 250 a pair. i've seen them sold for 1.5x /2x this in the past.

Description from the DIYSG webpage (https://www.diysoundgroup.com/volt-8-v2.html )

The Volt-8 uses a custom Eminence made 8" coaxial for high output and impressive power handling. The new surround and spider improves the X-max rating while the light weight cone gives this speaker a smooth sounding midrange even when played at high levels. The crossover was designed to give an even response that not only excels for surround speaker use, but also for great front speaker performance. The custom compression driver (tweeter) made by Celestion is installed on the back and fires through a small waveguide in the center of the woofer giving you point source sound and great off axis response. I'll be posting more information about the custom driver soon. It's based off the CDX1-1446.

The crossover was designed to give an even response that not only excels for surround sound speaker use, but also for great front speaker performance. The Volt-8 does quite well in small ported enclosures between .5 and .7cuft when used with a subwoofer. The Atmos version is a small sealed enclosure designed to play down to 100hz, which is great for Atmos use. You can use them mounted in your ceiling without an enclosure for Atmos use if needed. For surround sound or mains, you should build the ported models.
