The Desert Defence represent the state of the art in multi-purpose footwear. Boots are constructed of the highest performance materials available and offset structural support against weight. Meindl have optimised the balance of materials to create the ultimate breathable, light weight but highly supportive boot. Suitable for all operational activities including high liability off-trail hiking and carrying heavy loads. The boot is fully orthotic and uses special geometry and material in the orthotic shank and sole unit to aid your natural walking gait.

The DiGAfix® Lacing System is fitted with an additional locking eyelet that is used to create multiple lace tension zones. This allows adjustment for up and downhill hill tension differences.

The Upper material and support structure is highly ventilated making the boots dry fast keeping your feet healthier. Your feet are the foundation on which all your efforts stand; look after them with proper footwear and you will go well.

Meindl MultiGriff® Sole

Meindl Multigriff® by Vibram® with air cushion

With its non-slip rubber tread, the Meindl Multigriff® 3 from Vibram® offers superb off-road hold. Its self-cleaning sole tread and the hook heel offer additional hold on difficult terrain. Furthermore, the air cushion integrated in the soft insole at the front of the foot facilitates comfortable and cushioned walking.

The Multigriff sole unit works with the Nylon reinforced polymid shank and orthotic footbed to provide full orthotic support to the foot. The vast majority of wearers do not require orthotic insoles.

Meindl Walking System is designed with key differential flexion zones to enhance heel to toe walking. The concave design reduces the threat of injury from over pronation or supination.

The Self Cleaning Mutigriff tread pattern has an open cleat design and uses walking flex to rid itself of mud and dirt.
