100g of water kefir grains.These are fresh grains.
Fermenting is straightforward, add grains to sugar water in a large jar covered with loose lid/ muslin. Leave in a warm place out of direct sunlight for 24-48 hours. Decant the liquid into swing top bottles, adding your preferred fruit/juice to flavour (strawberry and mango is a great combination, I use frozen fruit!). Leave for a further 24 hours or so to build up to a desired fizz. Refrigerate. Repeat the initial process with sugar water. The drink will last for up to 2 weeks in the fridge.
