Vintage Norton India No 188 Combination Oilstone In an Ashford Emir Handcrafted Oilstone Box
A Vintage Norton India 188 Combination oilstone in a handcrafted Ashford Emir oilstone box that's in excellent condition. The Norton India Stone has a Coarse/Fine grit. The Oilstone is now perfectly flat and square on both sides. These oilstones are excellent for sharpening Irons, chisels, gouges, knives etc.
Ashford Emir company originated from Germany but later moved the company to Ashford in England around the mid 90's. Emir's wooden boxes are well known for their quality wooden products and are known for their craftsmanship and association with the Emir brand.
