My 3D printed version of a traditional measuring tool used by blacksmiths, wheelwrights, coopers and carpenters for measuring curved surfaces.

To use a traveller place the scribed line on the wheel at the start and roll the wheel , counting the revolutions. At the end mark the wheel with a pencil and you can now transfer the measurement onto a flat surface.
