These tools are hand forged from high carbon steel. They have been hardened and tempered to provide a tough long lasting edge. They can be resharpened with care on an electric bench grinder. This offers an economic alternative to tungsten carbide tools which will stay sharp longer but are much more expensive and very difficult to resharpen.
