This pitching hammer ,often referred to as a trimming hammer is a heavy-duty striking tool featuring a crisp, bevelled pein used to "pitch" or shear away unwanted lumps of stone from the edge of a block without fracturing the core. The other face is a standard lump hammer used primarily to drive chisels and punches.
In good condition with a straight grained ash handle.
